The ASA Advocacy Committee is seeking expressions of interest from members who wish to contribute to the Association’s advocacy work. The Committee advises Council on responses to advocacy requests and provides content for those responses as required. It also proactively monitors developments across the Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums and Recordkeeping (GLAMR) sector, bringing matters of interest or importance to the attention of Council.
The Advocacy Committee plays a key role in advancing the ASA’s mission to advocate for members and the wider profession. Further information about the Committee’s role and responsibilities is available in the Terms of Reference.
Expressions of interest should be sent to the President and consist of a short paragraph outlining interest in the Committee and any relevant experience.
