Loris Williams Memorial Lectures

The Loris Williams Memorial Lecture is an annual lecture held during the Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) annual conference, in honour of Loris Williams (1949-2005) to continue her legacy and reflect on issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander archives.

The lectures focus on topics relating to Indigenous records and archives, including community memory, identity, access, decolonial archival practices, and Indigenous control over archival systems. They offer a platform for all members of the archival community to reflect on progress, challenges, and future directions in archival practice.
