University Archives Special Interest Group

The University Archives Special Interest Group consists of many archivists working in, or interested in, archives in the Australian tertiary education sector. The scope of concerns of members ranges from those of collecting institutions, to pure in-house archives. The SIG meets at ASA conferences and holds irregular seminars and workshops in response to members wishes. Increasingly, communication within the SIG has been electronic only.

At its AGM in August 2008, the SIG created a Survey Sub-Committee to collect statistics from University Archives giving further consideration to meaningful reporting in relation to electronic records. See the minutes for more information.
