For the first time, all of Peter Scott’s published writings on archives have been collected into a single volume, together with the texts of some previously unpublished talks and university lectures. In addition, this volume includes a major new piece of writing by Peter Scott, completed in 2010, which provides a comprehensive update and overview of Scott’s archival thinking and contributions.
Rounding out this book are new essays by Australia’s Barbara Reed and Canada’s Laura Millar, which reflect upon the continuing impact and relevance of Scott’s innovations in the twenty-first century, together with a bibliography of writings about the series system. Editor Adrian Cunningham has worked closely with Peter Scott to assemble this 400-page book, which pays tribute to and will serve as a fitting legacy for Australia’s most significant archival thinker, writer and practitioner.
