MISSION STATEMENT
To move the Australian archival community towards the use of standardised descriptive practices by playing a leading role in developing and promoting suitable national and international standards.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

  1. Advise the ASA on matters relating to descriptive standards.
  2. Undertake tasks relating to descriptive standards referred to it by the ASA.
  3. Play a leading role in developing and maintaining suitable national and international descriptive standards.
  4. Promote knowledge, understanding and use of suitable national and international descriptive standards within the Australian recordkeeping community.
  5. Communicate information on the activities of the Committee to the Australian recordkeeping community via the Internet, the ASA Bulletin, and reports to ASA Council.
