2009 Conference

The 26th Annual National Conference was held in Brisbane and brought international leaders of the Archives profession and respected national and regional thinkers and practitioners together for a stimulating program of workshops, presentations and discussions. The Australian Society of Archivists was excited to be joining with the Archives and Records Association of New Zealand and the Pacific Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives to present ‘Voyaging Together: Memory, Integrity, Sustainability’. Opportunities to bring together archivists from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific are rare. The conference provided an international forum on many current topics, at all levels of archival and recordkeeping endeavour – national, state, regional, local – and of relevance to all sectors of archival employ – government, business, education, religious, ethnic and indigenous.
