Reference, Access and Public Programs Special Interest Group Forum: Revisiting who we are and why we matter
This year’s forum will focus on capturing local stories, the role of reading rooms, the search for identity and the use of volunteers in archives. Speakers include Daniel Wilksh (PROV), Cathy Flint (NTAS), David Swift (NAA, QLD), Simon Flagg (PROV), Kirsten Thorpe (SRNSW), Sue Newman (SRNSW), Shauna Hicks (PROV) and Christine Yeats (SRNSW).                                        Detailed RAPSIG Programme

NAA/CAARA Digital Futures Professional Briefing
A variety of speakers from CAARA institutions and other organisations will describe current developments and future directions in relation to digital archiving and recordkeeping. Topics to be addressed will include: an update on the work of ADRI - the Australasian Digital Recordkeeping Initiative; digitisation programs and standards; digital preservation approaches and tools; innovative approaches to online access; the Collections Australia Network (CAN) and small archives; and building the business case for digital collections.
