Privacy

The Society is dedicated to keeping your details private. Our general privacy policy may be viewed for more detailed information. Any information we collect, as part of commercial transactions, in relation to you is kept strictly secured. We do not pass on, sell, or swap any of this information with anyone, nor do we retain it for any longer than we need to for audit or evidential reasons. Within that period, however, we may use it to inform you of other products or services that we think you might be interested in.

We may use cookies to allow you to login to your account, maintain a shopping cart, and to purchase items in your shopping cart. Any cookies sent to your computer are used only while you are browsing our website. We do not store persistent cookies on your computer.

Security

When purchasing from the Society, your financial details are passed through our secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure socket payer) encryption technology.

Secure credit card processing is provided by eWay.

Pricing Policy

All our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). GST is included for goods and services delivered within Australia (NB the Australian Tax Office has ruled that membership is deemed to be delivered within Australia even if the member has an overseas address.)

Returns and Cancellations

Membership – under the Society’s rules and by-laws, no refund of membership subscription is payable if membership is terminated for any reason. The Society will consider an application for a refund of membership subscription where a new membership is cancelled within the first month, subject to a cancellation fee of $25 or the amount of subscription paid, whichever is the lesser.

Journal subscription – if cancelled before the mailing list is sent to the printers, the subscription price applicable to the remaining period of subscription will be refunded, subject to a cancellation fee of $25.

Downloadable purchases – if the purchased item has been downloaded, no refund will be made under any circumstances. If the purchased item has not been downloaded, the purchase price will be refunded subject to a cancellation fee of $25 or the purchase price, whichever is the lesser.

Other purchases – if a request to cancel the purchase is made before the item is despatched, the purchase price will be refunded subject to a cancellation fee of $25 or the purchase price, whichever is the lesser. If the item has been despatched, a Return Authorization must be obtained before the item is returned. On receipt of the item in good condition, the purchase price will be refunded subject to a cancellation fee of $25 or the purchase price whichever is the lesser.

Non-receipt of items – claims for non-receipt of purchased items must be made within 3 months of purchase.

Refunds will be made only via a credit to the credit card account used to make the purchase. Refunds will not be made by cheque.
