I hereby call for nominations for the following positions on Council
· Vice President;
· Secretary/Treasurer;
· Managing Editor; and
· Three (3) Councillors
NB In accordance with Rule 9, the position of Managing Editor will cease to exist after the AGM in 2010, so the member elected to this position will hold office for only one year.
Rule 5(3) provides that professional members only shall be eligible for election as officers or councillors of the Society.
In accordance with By-law 2:5(1) nominations must be:
o made in writing; and
o signed by two professional members of the Society; and
o accompanied by the written consent of the candidate.
In accordance with Rule 11, candidates may not be nominated for more than one office. Candidates may be nominated simultaneously for a position of officer and as a councillor. If unsuccessful in election for an officer position, votes received as a candidate for the councillor position will then be considered. Forms should be clearly marked to indicate the position(s) to which a candidate is being nominated.
