ASA Council

Strategic Plan 2008 - 2012 

The Strategic Plan was adopted by Council in July 2008. It provides the basis for Council to report annually to its members.  The plan will be reviewed by 30 June 2012.

For 2008 - 2012 the ASA's strategic priorities are to:

  1. Advocacte the ASA, our profession and professional pursuits
  2. Deliver education and training in all matters relevant to archivists and recordkeepers
  3. Provide appropriate services to all members
  4. Manage the organisation well

Work Program 2008 to 2009/2010

The work program identifies the priorities, activities of the ASA and Council and staff responsbilities for the period 2008 to 2009/2010. The work program is available here.

Portfolios

The Society's mission, vision and strategic plan provide the framework for the work of Council.  Currently there are four key areas in which Council works. These are described below.

1. Advocacy and Promotion

Council Meetings

Council meetings are held 3 to 4 times a year.  Meetings are usually held in Brisbane for a duration of 2 days. Council papers and reports of Council Meetings are available to members via the link below.
