Applications are sought from highly motivated and suitably qualified professionals to manage the College’s archives.  

The Archivist reports to the Principal and is responsible for the coordination of the archives operation at the College.  

The Archivist will: 

1.    Implement appraisal of records and description and arrangement, storage  and retrieval of archival records

2.    Appraise, accession and catalogue museum material and artefacts relevant to the history of the College

3.    Organise the conservation of significant works and historical artefacts

4.    Advise on preservation, storage, care and repair of College archival material including, but not limited to documents, antiques and furniture

5.    Manage the appropriate storage of archival and museum material

6.    Work collaboratively with a variety of College staff and the wider College community

7.    Have a sound knowledge of archival principles

8.    Be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised

9.    Familiar with archiving databases. Knowledge of ARCHIVE MANAGER would be a distinct advantage

10.  Have a keen eye for detail

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as an archivist, appropriate educational qualifications and professional memberships, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work both autonomously and in a team.
